Paw Print Genetics · March 2025
Glaucoma carrier. Fig has one copy of the Border Collie glaucoma variant (OLFML3). Carriers are not affected, but a carrier-to-carrier pairing can produce affected puppies, so Fig should be bred to bitches that test clear (WT/WT) for this gene.
Paw Print Genetics · March 2025
Black, rough coat. Carries red, blue and tricolor.
Fig is non-merle and passes a long-coat copy to every puppy. Paired with a bitch that carries the same recessive, he can produce red, blue, lilac or tricolor puppies.
